Setting Up Trusted Directions

How do I Set up Trusted Directions? (4:47)

To set up a trusted direction:

  1. From the Pharmacy Manager Side Navigation Bar select eMessages .eMessages. The eMessages screen displays.
  2. From Filter list by select Requires Dispensing:

  1. Select the appropriate prescription and select Dispense. The Dispensary screen displays:

  1. Dispense the prescription in the usual way, see Dispensing an Electronic Prescription.

  2. Enter the directions, for example, Take one at night:

  1. Select Edit Trusted Directions . The Find Direction screen displays:

  1. Select Add and the Direction Details screen displays.
  2. Type in a Short code for the direction, for example, 1N for take one at night:

  1. Enter Quantity, to state how many items the patient is to take during the day, for example, 1.
  2. Enter Frequency, to state how many times a day the patient is to take the medication, for example, 1 for once a day.
  3. Select OK .
  4. Select the required Trusted Direction:

  1. Select Link . The Confirm Trusted Direction screen displays:

  1. Select Yes .
